Time for something a little different...Thanks to Hulu, I finally managed to watch 'Gravity Falls,' to which I have to say is probably one of the funniest and smartest shows I've seen come out of Disney in a while (granted I don't watch a lot of tv but whatever)
Now after I wrapped it up last night, I thought that I could do a little crossover with GF and KP and it came out surprisingly well I think for a first attempt at the style. Β The style is actually a lot easier than the style Stephen Silver did for Kim Possible...Gravity Falls is more like The Simpsons in terms of eyes, and "elbowless" arms which let me knock Mabel here out in about an hour....the background on the other hand, yeah it's a lot more detailed than what I'm used to. Β But either way I think it came out pretty good.

If you have Hulu it's on there now. Β If not I'm sure there's bootleg versions of it on Youtube or something. Β It's actually got a pretty elaborate story arc that goes across 4 years worth of shows that finally gets tied up at the end so I'd suggest binge watching it if you get a chance.
It really is a good show, it reminds me of The Simpsons when it didn't completely rely on cameos and pop culture references.

Grapple-gun fight! Kimmy is quite cute in the GF style*, and even more fun when she's distressed at being caught by the precocious preteen. Fortunately for her, Mabel is friendly, and the worst she'll do to the redhead is make her wear a hand-knit sweater to cover up that bellybutton once and for all. (It's chilly in them there mountains.)

Lovely job on the two, and really sweet work on the background too. Now I can't help but think of a reason why the two shows might cross over β and if we can confirm that Dipper has a thing for redheads in general.

Would probably take some work to justify it, since they take place on opposite coasts of the US. Though I'm sure there'd be some way to mash them together. Maybe the Longs all get dragged cross-country on some sort of road trip and stop at the Mystery Shack, and see where things go from there.

+1, I completely agree and add some other missed opportunities like a crossover with Phineas & Ferb. To think than the animated series version of Lilo & Stitch had crossovers with the Proud Family, Kim Possible, American Dragon: Jake Long and Recess....

What I had was Bill Cipher appearing for a fraction of a second and then disappearing again...but that image was an animated gif, this one is a .png and for some reason dA will only let you swap out the file with one of the same format which would mean that I'd have to delete this one, and resubmit it...just too much trouble. Β Oh well.
