- The color blue.. as the color of the spirit, it invokes rest and can cause the body to produce chemicals that are calming and exude feelings of tranquility. Hence his plan to make a spa!
- Blood dripping down, a reference to his mother's death.
- I had this idea that a stiff pose might refer to his past as a soldier, but I don't know how successful I was in showing that.
