Description
The most photographed landscape in S.A. The view of table mountain from Bloubergstrand. I thought I would go get some stock shots yesterday and the sky did this...5D mk II
16-35mm @ 21mm
F16
1.6s
Lee 0.9 soft grad nd
I thought I would treat my supporters with a 900px resolution which I rarely do, but unluckily the 3 watermarks. This is like a suitcase filled with gold for image thieves in the local media.

I figured you probably don't want to hear this, but just tell me if I'm wrong.
This time, the watermark clearly destroyed the beauty of your picture. You want to watermark your picture (of course) but not thΓ‘t obvious that it ruins the impression of your art.
I suggest that you place your watermarks on places where the eyes of your viewers don't focus on. In this picture that would be the line of the horizon (left Γ³r right), the clouds (as you did correctly) and where the water meets the sand. This way, any viewer will first see the beauty of your photo and if he / she looks closer, your watermarks.
Also, you can lower the alpha of your watermark even more, as long as there is the slightest hint that it's there!
I might not be a professional photographer, I'm still a designer

Wow, great shot! The colors are amazing, and the view is great. I also like what the rather long exposure time did to the sea

There is something wrong about this picture. Like few ideas have crashed into one piece. It's probably the matter of the used technology tricks, but still it makes it look somehow wrong in my personal opinion. I wouldn't like You to misunderstand me - the photo is good, maybe even very good. But I feel like there's too many things in it.
However, it definitely deserves a fave.

technology tricks or composition? This is raw processed and I boosted the midtone contrast. No technology tricks. Just amazing light

I don't mean the photoshop manipulations or anything like that. I meant all the stuff which doesn't self-set up in "automatic" mode. Which is the exposure time etc. The mentioned exposure was a great idea itself. The water looks wonderful. However this is probably the reason of those strange blured red-orange spots on the sky, which came from the lightened cloud(s). That's pretty much distracting for some people (however I can speak only for myself here).
But I want to say again that the photography is really good and I hope You didn't read it as an attack. These words were only pointing few tiny tiny details I read as somehow wrong.
I hope I made myself clear. So after all, very nice job.
Hang on, man.
(sorry for such long comments)

Just ignore the deviants who complain about your watermarks. Its your artwork , not theirs.
Absolutely amazing photograph.

Amazing photo. One of your bests for sure... I wouldn't worry about people bitching about watermarks. They're usually people that have never had their work stolen or people who are looking to use your photos themselves

Thanks Nate...and thanks on the image. Only people that have shot landscapes as much as we have can appreciate a sky like that
