'n Baie mooi foto van Tafelberg, jammer van die besoedeling wat lyk my elke jaar erger word.

How is it that you can get such a crisp image without the noise in that time of day? It looks like afternoon, so I'm guessing low ISO but then you'd have to lower shutter speed as well. Also guessing you used a photoshopped GND (from 2 exposures) to achieve an HDR feel? Though really my main question is "How to achieve sharpness in an image" (behind the lens that is).

I believe that Table Mountain is connected to the mainland... correct me if wrong. One can see the buildings just on the horizon to the left, too. But what it looks like is a mysterious island just offshore, beautiful but ominous and unreachable for some reason (ok, story time in the mind this AM).
I would imagine that there are pathways up to the top of the mountain... are there pics from up there of the surrounding areas? Not necessarily yours, but does that happen often? Seems to me to be a wondrous vantage point.

google cape town a bit There are many hiking routes and cable car that goes to the top of the mountain.
It is connected to the mainland via a low lying area, yes. The thing to the right is container shop Robben Island is out of the frame to my right side.

I'm so glad I live here and I get to see this every morning and afternoon on my way to and from school!
You've captured it beautifully here, I love the composition and everything. This isn't just a pretty photo - no way could I walk five minutes to the beach and snap something like this.
Was this on Friday? It was really flat then, if I do recall.
Makes me remember why I love Cape Town so much. (Not that I'm in much danger of forgetting.)

Makes me want to go on vacation to your place... I wonder if you realise how much beauty and calmness your area contains.
