Description
Stock: Stock ExchangeBrushes:
This was something I'd been working on for a while, and decided to finish and submit it.
Please full view. Art was meant to be seen. Thanks!
EDIT: Added a brush by . After several comments about the frames, I decided, hey. You're all right. I looked at it, and looked, and looked, and finally decided that while macabre and swirlies sometimes DO give a nice little contrast, in this case, it wasn't true.
So!
I changed the image, updated it, and gave credit where credit is due! Thanks.

I much prefer this version. Much. I say that cause I tried to comment earlier, but I kept on staring at the border instead of the piece, I guess I should have just said that, lol.. whatevah, you know what I mean!

You're VERY welcome! Thank you for making such amazing brushes in the first place! Be prepared to get a lot of credit in my future works. It's SO hard to find just...typical but original grungy brushes sometimes.

Thank you! I had some great stock to work with, so I'm very happy it came out this way. That's what I was going for...the hopelessness, not being able to move. Stagnance, whatnot.
Thanks again!

Okay where to start? I think I'll get the nasty stuff out of the way first. Personally I don't like the frame,it just doesnt seem to fit in with the rest of the manip. I'm refering to the squigly bits, they're nicely done though. Im also not to sure about the cogwheel, I know its not real but I think it would be better if it was smaller with flesh around it. the way you've done it there seems to be no connection between the legs and the thorax. I cant understand how he would function.
As for the rest WOW! The scratches on the walls, I can just imagine him trying to claw his way out of this room. The missing skin (tear) and sutures look very good, very real. Eeeek. My favourite is the shadow, it seems almost alive. The shadow also makes it seem that he is embedded in the wall, as if he could get no closer, huddled with fear. The floor suitably grimy and makes you think "is that dried up blood or dried up something else?"
Very good work! Those are my thoughts

I updated the image without the frames. Thanks for the advice! I usually like grungy with an odd contrast of swirlies or whatever, but...it didn't sit right, no.
Anyway, thanks!!

Thank you so much. It was...fun, to say the least. I've always thought that dark art doesn't necessarily have to be dark in color.
Thanks again!
