“Who would have guessed we’d lose?” Lee whispered to Rohan, as the boys looked out at the street below.

Lee and his friends made a friendly wager with their girlfriends that the gender with the lowest average midterm grade would do whatever the winner said for spring break. The girls agreed, despite going against three of the top students in the class. When the group got their grades back, the girls had averaged 90% and the boys 86%. Stunned, the boys worried what their girlfriends would do to them.

Come spring break; the group traveled to the beach to spend their vacation soaking up some sun. Once inside, each girlfriend took their boyfriend to the bathroom to “freshen up.” When done, their boyfriend emerged from the restroom, dolled up like a girl. Pushed outside while the girlfriends made plans, the boys gawked at passerby below.

“I think I heard them say they were going to take us to the beach,” Rowan said, looking worried. “I hope they don’t.”
