The color balance, centered on warm colors, also gives the idea of Aries as a fire sign. It is a really small detail, but maybe I'd add the symbol of the sign Aries above her head 'engraved' in the texture... that would maybe make this picture even more perfect than it already is

She looks even cooler coloured. I really enjoy the red light around her eyes, as well as the sort of strip of colour for the background. Simple, yet effective.

No problem you have a wonderful talent. Why not send off your best pieces and see what happens? The worst they can say is no. If you're worried then select some pieces you want to submit to D&D mag. Have people crit it and when you feel it's good enough then send everything off.
Some of the best artist are not always seen in the fantasy and sci-fi mags.
