Description
This is my first submission to Deviant Art. Thanks for looking.This image was rendered in Photoshop 7. Pencil sketch scanned in, used a mouse until I bought a graphite Wacom tablet about halfway through. REVOLATION!! Took a night to get used to the tablet but ultimately increased my speed about tenfold.
I started playing the RPG Iron Kingdoms and couldn't resist. Also, took this to Akon-17 got some good comments and suggestions. What an event, if you haven't gone, go.

Yeah, I see what you're saying. I actually did this piece before I got a good look at the Warmachine stuff, so I didn't have a clue as to the differences in mechs.

This 'Jack gives me a vaguely reptilian feel, especially around the legs. Some Cygnar engineer had a unique design.

looks really awesome- only suggestion I have is to try to avoid using difference clouds for your atmosphere unless you REALLY muss them up. Most photoshop-faithfuls will pick out those clouds in a heartbeat.

The details kind of remind me of Warhammer 40K or some sort of Space Egyptian scheme for some reason. I like it.

It's sort of a mix between 40k and Warmachine... I was going for a fantasy mecha kind of feel. Glad you like!

It does look cartoony but hell, the detail is something else all together. I'm really impressed with the tiny deatils like the cabling under his gauntlets and the little knicks and scratches on his armour. When I saw the piece before reading your description I honestly thought it was a crossover between Warhammer 40k Epic Titan and Gundam. As an RPG'er I will say I haven't heard of Iron Kingdoms but if there are things like that in it I'm gunna go look it the hell up! Please keep up the great work

2 words. FRIGGIN AWESOME!!! I like the liveried look and the almost magical feel of the whole scene. I play D&D and have been working on a campaign with Mechs and interstellar travel. I have to ask... May I use your design in my campaign? No money will be made, it is strictly for the enjoyment of myself and my small group of friends.

Many thanks! Do you have specs for it? Or would you like me to send you some Guesswork specs? I do't know how in-depth you get with your designs. I usually make specs then design the mech to fit them. Of course mine all come out looking like a TRO pic. lol
