Once upon a time, they were a guardian angel but it all came crashing down when their person got horrifically murdered, they could no longer find in themselves a soothing sence of protectiveness towards all mortals, only vengence towards the evil in them, and a burning desire to punish it. And so, they became a holy avenger, and the soul of that last person under their care became their raven partner, too sad at what their death did to the angel to move on
