Description Also known as : Farewell, my dear friend.

*Cries*

I do not own Claude Frollo ( pity), I do not own his horse ( though I've named him Bucephalus in "Breaking Horses", which suits him a little better than Snowball...

Nor do I own Jeremy Irons. Pity. Again.

Whew!

Labour of love, and a labour of sadness. I'm gearing up to write this scene in my story soon, and I can tell you know, it will not be a happy scene.

Please, please please, tell me what you think? Your comments are worth so much to me.

He IS such a badass horse, isn't he?

I've got a story partially written in which stuff happens to Buce. Achilles too, by the way. Achilles IS funny and quirky, but big, bad and fluffy outclasses him an every turn ( even my horse is bigger than yours, captain )

Shirtless Frollo is one of my biggest drives! (ho-hum)

big, bad,and Fluffy.. gives new meaing to the word BBF ...

well, if you've seen the movie Tangled .. Maximus kinda takes after Achilles.. they both know how to sit.. but Max knows how to use a sword..

btw, do you think the size of a man's horse is equivalent to the size of a man's err.. certain parts..

*runs away for being graphic*..

Hahaha! Yes!

Achilles IS a cool horse, IMHO. It's his rider I have a small problem with .

Hmmm, you've seen the size of Frollo's nose, you've seen the size of Frollo's hands, I'll let you work out the rest okay?

* nothing gets too graphic for me, honey*

Oh wow, I've no words apart from 'extremely well done'! The whole thing is absolutely gorgeous, I love to see a horse - any horse! - drawn well! Great job, babe!

Thanks! Even when working with examples, horses are extremely difficult to draw. But I've discovered I liked drawing them, so more horses may come cantering by some day soon

I love how you have Frollo kissing Bucehphalus' forehead, his nose squashed as he breathes in his old friend, silent agony radiating off him in waves. Beautiful and emotive. I do not envy you writing that scene.

It will hurt.

What she said. Beautifully eloquent as always, Riv. Everything that was in my heart that I was unable to articulate. Thank you for that.

In a strange way I do look forward to it, because I have envisioned and written it in my head so many times already. I've still got a long way to go though.

But yes, it will be agony.

I both look forward to writing it and not, strangely enough. I just hope I won't short-circuit the computer by blubbering all over the keyboard

Thank you!

Uh, oh...you're going to make me cry with Frollo's horse dying. I love the detail of the horse, those eyes, wow! And aww, poor Claude, this is going to be so sad! Esme had better comfort him or else I will go glomp him myself. Sadness does bring people together so this may be the turning point for them.

Thank you thank you!

*whispers something softly to you*

key scene

But can't give it away. We have a looooooong way to go before we get there.

You doing okay btw? I'm cold! * cuddles under the blanket*

ChristineFrollophile In reply to Howlingmojo [2011-11-13 01:33:06 +0000 UTC]

That's the thing about Fresme, in order to do it right it can never happen too quickly. It really is a slow building process to be believable. I'm sure tho when Esme sees Claude so distraught over the loss of his horse she'll definitely feel something. I mean, how can anyone not.

Me, oh, I'm okay I guess. Trying to not let a cold take over. I had a sore throat for 2 days, but it never got any worse. I refuse to let it get worse actually. It has been cold and rainy here too, makes me want to just curl up in my black velvet snuggie and sleep. Hehe!

Oh, seriously, without wanting to tease, but THAT scene? Has been written in my head so, so ,many times already. I look forward to actually getting there.

Hey, I had exactly the same cold! Hope you didn't catch it through me

I'm all snoozy and sleepy. Must be my inner bear or something, as soon as the leaves turn, I just want to sleep till springtime!

It doesn't help that I had nose bleeds either last night, ugh! Dry cough and just dry everything. Oh, me too! When it gets cold I just want to curl up and hide in bed until the springtime too, lol!

Don't you hate that, wanting to just get right to the good stuff? I find that drives me nuts with my writing too. I know you gotta build up stuff and all that, but the interaction between them is always the best part!

Howlingmojo In reply to ChristineFrollophile [2011-11-14 10:42:05 +0000 UTC]

Ugh nosebleeds? Ow, I feel for ya, dear.

I'm definitely looking into hibernating. The holiday season is about there, and with the way stuff in out family is going, I doubt it will be festive anytime soon...

But I do look forward to sitting down and writing again, I was just talking to Teddy about the Fresme ABC's actually. WE definitely need to blow some new life into the Fresme community over at LJ, what do you think? *Bring all the Porn!*

Breaking Horses has been dubbed "Breaking Balls" in my mind, btw. There's so much i want to write, and have them say, and when I sit down, open Word and stare at the cursor....Poof. Empty. Does that happen to you too?

ChristineFrollophile In reply to Howlingmojo [2011-11-15 06:57:23 +0000 UTC]

Oh, geez, hate to even think about the holiday season. The stress that goes with it makes me want to run for the hills!

LOL @ Breaking Balls! But yeah, I know that one well. You have so many ideas swirling about in your head, but when you actually sit down to type they do suddenly disappear. I so hate that! It does help to re-read over what you already have wrote. It kind of jogs the mind and makes you remember what all was going and maybe even what you had in mind to continue. It does sometimes work for me. I'll start to really zone a bit as I re-read and then next thing I know it all takes over me and I'm off typing like a fiend! Good luck with that, the right inspiration does come along and will grab you good. I like to refer to is as, "Claude is whispering in your ear".

Howlingmojo In reply to ChristineFrollophile [2011-11-16 11:04:06 +0000 UTC]

Well, same hear. Let's run for those effing hills together and produce tons of Fresme smut while were at it. Hmmm...

Hey rereading sounds like a really good idea. Silly that I haven't thought of it already. Thanks! I kinda tend to want to move forward always, and sometimes sitting down and looking where you're coming from is not a bad idea at all.

He totally does that by the way. That whispering. his inner voice and his motivations are soooo much fun to write!

The pattern of the hair doesn't match the pattern of the shading on the body. It looks a bit odd.
