here's something to do if you don't want people to call her a mary-sue.
Use less colors, its too distracting and common.
don't use bases. it's not an 'original character' if you use a base for 60% of the drawing.
make her a bit less.... blingy.

I can't actually draw, bases have nothing to do with the character being original. This one's just ignorant.
And the 'bling' is personal preference.
She isn't perfect in every way which is what makes a 'Mary sue'.

I really don't see the problem with colourful characters as long as the colours aren't eye bleedingly bright, and even then it can just be a poor choice. Design, in my opinion, has NOTHING to do with mary sue-ism. Backstory and personality, however, does.
