Description "Please hold." Alyssa went to get Mr. Falder. When he heard important and wife in the same sentence he put his baton on his stand and told his students to work on the new song. He ran to his phone and said, "Hello? What's going on honey?" his voice was panicky and worried.

"Jay, Carter's missing. Her mother beat her again before school I guess. Our principal grabbed Carter and took out his phone. Her mother left by then and Carter ran into school. Now the kids and I are looking for her. I'm going to look in the music room. If you get a phone call please call me right away." Mrs. Falder said worried.

"Okay. I can do that sweetie. Call me if you find her. I have to go. My class is getting antsy." He smirked.

"I love you."

"I love you too. Good luck finding Carter."

"Thanks." was all she said before she hung up. She grabbed her cell phone and walkie-talkie and went into the hall. She walked to the music room. Mr. Delgo was there, but he was in his office, so he wasn't paying attention when Carter came rushing in. Mrs. Falder saw him looking at pieces on his desk. She knocked on his door and he looked up. He had deep blue eyes and orange facial hair. His orange hair was shaggy and seemed like it was fun to run a hand through. His freckles were slightly covered up by his half-moon glasses. He wore a plaid green shirt and black jeans with his tennis shoes. Mrs. Falder could barely see his earring in his left ear from his shaggy orange hair being in the way. He looked to be about twenty-four. He took a sip of his hot chocolate and waved her in his office.

"Yes Mrs. Falder? How may I be of assistance?" His Irish accent was beautiful and he smiled.

"Ummm…yes, Carter Stipp ran into school scared. Do you know if she came in here?" Mrs. Falder asked concerned. Mr. Delgo thought about Carter and realized that she did come running in his room not to long ago. He slowly got up from his desk and walked out into the room passing Mrs. Falder, but just grazing her body as he passed. He went over to the piano and saw small light bloody fingerprints on the keys as if the keys weren't played, just touched. Then he followed blood splatters on the floor to the wall and then they stopped. They heard quiet sobbing and saw blood dripping from the object that was making the sobbing noise. Mrs. Falder realized it was Carter and hugged her tightly. She flinched in pain and yelped a little. "Oh Carter, I'm sorry. I'm so glad you're safe." Mrs. Falder said. Mr. Delgo patted Mrs. Falder on the shoulder and went back to his office.

"I'll call the nurse and tell her that you will be bringing her down soon." He told Mrs. Falder. She nodded and picked Carter up gently.

"Okay Carter. Are you ready to go to the nurse's office?" Carter sobbed into Mrs. Falder's shoulder and nodded slightly. Mrs. Falder rubbed her back gently and soothingly and walked her to the nurse's office. She dropped Carter off and went back to her class. When she got there her kids sat in their seats quietly and listened. A small girl with black hair raised her hand. "Yes Nikki?"

"Is Carter going to be okay?" the girl had a light voice and spoke very softly. Tears were gently rolling down her tan face. A boy next to her rubbed her back sweetly and hugged her tightly. His lips touched the top of her head and his glasses were just about to get tangled into her hair. Mrs. Falder just smiled at this scene and answered her question.

"Well Nikki, she is in the nurse's office right now. She should be fine. Now we have to get some work done today class so let's take out our math notebooks and I will put up some problems for you to do." The class quietly took out their notebooks and waited patiently for the problems to be put up. Once Mrs. Falder finished putting up the problems she called her husband.

"I can't believe that! It makes me so angry that a mother would do that to her child and her only child at that!" Mr. Falder shouted into the phone speaker. His student teacher jumped and almost spilt his tea. He looked up at Mr. Falder and stared at him confused. He covered the receiver and said, "Wife's student mother. Tell you later." His student teacher nodded and went back to his music score.

"Hey hon, I have another call and it's from the nurse. I'll be right back." Lyra said. "Ginger if you are all done doing those problems can you please switch the overhead. Thank you." She quickly switched over to the other line. "Hello? Oh hello, is she going to be okay? No. Okay. I'll have my husband come get her. Thank you." She switched lines again. "Jay, can you come get Carter and take her to our house. Nothing's broken or seriously injured. She's just bleeding in the leg and is bandaged up. She might need to go to the emergency room, but call the hospital first. Thanks hon. Love you too." Mrs. Falder whispered so her students wouldn't hear most of the conversation. She hung up and went back to teaching class.

Jay Falder put his work phone back on the hook and leaned back in his desk chair. "Jay, what's going on?" his student teacher asked.

"Charles, do you think you can handle class today? I have to get a girl from school. My wife can't get her because she has a class to teach. One of her students got abused by her mother this morning and now I might have to take her to the hospital." Jay told his student teacher, Charles.

"Yeah sure! Go get the girl. I hope she's okay." He smiled. His blonde hair fell into his sea-green eyes. His dark jeans were baggy and his dress shirt matched his eye color. He looked to be about twenty-four. Jay smiled thankful to have Charles and grabbed his things before he left.

As he walked down the hallway, one of his favorite students noticed him leaving. "Hey Mr. Falder. Where are you going?" He asked as he ate his goldfish that were from his lunch box. The boy reminded Jay a lot of him when he was that age.
"Well Joey, I have an emergency to get to, so Mr. Penny will be taking over class today. And Joey, you know better then to eat you lunch in the morning before lunch." Jay said as he quickly walked past him.
"Oh okay! Bye Mr. Falder! And I didn't pack a breakfast! I forgot to!" Joey shouted to him. Jay waved and went to the parking lot. Carter I'm on my way! He thought as he drove away.

Carter was lying in the nurse's office holding an icepack to her leg as she waited for someone to get her. The nurse gave her a lollipop for good behavior and being strong. It was cherry. She loved cherry flavored lollipops. Minutes past and the door swung open. Carter jumped and saw a tan man panting. "Mr. Falder!" she said happily. She tried to walk to him, but he put both hands on her shoulders and pushed down gently.
"Stay" was all he said. She looked up at him confused. "I don't want you to hurt yourself anymore then you already are. Nurse, I'm here to take Carter here home with me." He smiled and put his large tan hand on Carters blonde hair.

"Oh hello Jay! I didn't realize you got here." The nurse said. Her red hair was tightly up in a bun and her eyes were green. She had a slight Irish accent and freckles. She was a short woman.

"Cindy! Is that you? I had no idea you were back! Nice seeing you again. I have to take Carter quickly so I can call the hospital to see if I have to take Carter."
"I'd take her alright. That cut on her leg is deep." Jay nodded in understandment and picked up Carter in a wedding cradle.

"Ready Carter? I'm going to take you to the hospital to get your leg checked out okay." Carter nodded and grabbed her leg in pain. "Tell Lyra I got Carter." The nurse nodded and went to go call Lyra. "Carter, everything's going to be fine. I'm going to take great care of you. Mrs. Falder will too. Don't worry. I told you and promised you I would get you away from your mother and I always keep my promises." Carter went into a deep sleep and Mr. Falder kissed her gently on the forehead. He left the school and put her into the car. He locked it up and went back in to get her things from his wife's room. "Hey honey. Do you have Carter's belongings?" He saw her sitting on the floor with a bunch of kids learning Science experiments. "Mrs. Falder, I haven't seen you like this in a while."
Everyone looked up at Mr. Falder and a girl and boy that were twins ran to him happily. "Uncle Jay!" they shouted excitedly. No they were not related, but they were so close that the twins called Mr. and Mrs. Falder aunt and uncle. Mrs. Falder's head shot up and saw her husband without Carter.

"Hey sweetie, you looking for Carter's things? They're over by my desk. Call me later to let me know how she's doing." She said. Mr. Falder nodded and patted the twins' heads. He walked over to the desk and grabbed Carters things. Her backpack was open and Mr. Falder saw something in it. He walked out of the classroom and took, what he saw, out. What it was was a sheet of music that had no name. Just notes. He zipped her book bag back up and slung it over his shoulder. He walked to the car and saw Carter still asleep in the back seat. He unlocked the car and got in. Once he started it, he drove off to the hospital closest to where they lived. He kept looking at Carter every few minutes to see how she was doing. The bandage on her leg wasn't holding up very well. The blood was seeping through the bandage.

Minutes had passed and he got to the hospital safely. He parked the car and took Carter gently out of the car. "Carter. Wake up sweetheart. We're at the hospital now." He whispered into her ear. Carter shook and woke up with a jolt. Her breathing was heavy and she was shaking a little. "Carter, honey, are you okay?" Carter nodded slightly and hugged his neck tightly. He hugged her back and walked to the front door. There was a desk in front and Mr. Falder went over to the woman. "Hello, um…I have a girl here bleeding badly in her left leg."

"Okay. Please take her to the emergency room on floor five. I will let the doctor know. Her name?" said the blonde haired woman. Her blonde curls were perfectly framing her face as she looked at her paperwork. Glasses were neatly placed on her peachy nose.

"Carter Stipp." The woman's head shot up quickly and saw Carter's face. Bruised and tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Carter Stipp. Okay, thank you." Said the woman. She wrote her name down quickly, got up from her chair, walked to Mr. Falder and Carter and patted Carter on the back.

"Auntie Sophie?" Carter asked quietly. She looked up and turned her head to see the woman. "Auntie Sophie!" She said happily and then grabbed her leg in pain.

"Go to floor five quickly. NOW!" the woman said. Mr. Falder nodded and went to the elevator and pushed the up button. It opened right away and a boy came out of the elevator. HE was in a wheelchair and had curly red hair. He had freckles and half-moon glasses. He made eye contact with both of them and rolled away. Mr. Falder shrugged and walked into the elevator. He pushed five and they went up. They got to level five and the doors opened. They walked to the front desk and the woman looked up.

"You must be Carter Stipp. Doctor Wolff will be right out to take care of her." Mr. Falder nodded and sat down with Carter. She was still clutching her leg in pain. Mr. Falder rubbed her back soothingly as his wife does to him when he's stressed. Carter tightened her grip around his neck. Mr. Falder's cell phone rang and he gently moved Carter to get his phone out of his pocket.

"Hey honey. The kids are in music right now, so I have about twenty minutes to talk. How is she doing?" his wife asked worried.

"She's doing okay. Hold on the doctors here." He put down the phone and let Carter down. "Everything's going to be okay." He told her. She nodded slightly and limped to the doctor. "Excuse me are you going to give her surgery today?" the doctor nodded and took Carters hand.

"Don't worry Carter. It won't hurt on bit." The doctor smiled friendly. Carter smiled back slightly and waved to Mr. Falder. They disappeared and Mr. Falder picked up his phone again.

"Okay I'm back. She is getting surgery today, because it's so deep. She doesn't seem very scared about it, which means she's been here a lot and has gotten surgery a lot as well. She might have to spend a few nights or se here so I can stay here for the night. If not, I'll bring her home and keep her there till she gets better. How's that sound?"
"Okay, good idea. I'll be there after school with the kids. Right now I have to go. The kids are coming back so I have to go. I love you. Please keep me updated."

"I will. I promise. I will text you when I know anything else. I love you too sweetheart." Then the line went dead and he shut his phone. "Time for something to eat and check on Mr. Penny to see how class went," He went down to the cafeteria and called school. Mr. Penny picked up when he sat down with his food.

"Mr. Jay Falder's office, Mr. Penny speaking, how may I help you?" He said with some food in his mouth.

"Charles it's me. And try not to eat while you're on the phone. It sounds unprofessional. How'd class go?"

"Oh, hello Jay, sorry about that. Class went well. Joey helped out a lot. We made a lot of progress on Aladdin. How's it going over there?"

Wow this story is really good, I didn't even comment on the other chapters because i was so anxious to keep reading and see what happens
One thing though, when you first introduce the Jay's student assistant its a girl named Alyssa and now it's Charles. You may want to go back and change it to Charles if you want to keep it a guy. But other than that I'm enjoying this story keep it up^-^

*Doesn't feel so bad about always pointing out grammar after reading above comments* Nice work so far. I must admit when you said that last part was bad/sad I got a little worried - too much Sherlock Holmes causing me to theorise infinately worse scenarios. Anyways, keep up the good work and I look forward to reading the rest of this in conjunction with AHS

the grammar needs a bit of work, but great job! All you need is a couple of commas.
