Yes it is. In the Metallic Madness Zone Act 2, the boss drops a bunch of different toy versions of bosses from previous games such as the first boss from Sonic the hedgehog 2. One of these toys is the Amy doll which chases you and explodes. Its a somewhat easy but fun boss fight, especially thanks to the nostalgia.

well yes. the one from marble zone in sonic 1. the other is the first boss of sonic 2 in emerald hill zone. with a small minor cameo of robotic explosive amy rose in her classic clothing debuted in sonic CD.
