Although Discord is officially converted to the good side in S3E10, I don't think he would really be good. He, after all, is the master of chaos. Decieving, betraying, misleading...etc could be very common for him. I think he would either be some kind of unpredictable character that has both bright and dark sides or still a completely evil villain who could make chaos in disguise and fool the world.
Anyway, Good thing is Discord can now freely walk on Equestria so if we want him to appear in our story, we don't need to think of why he doesn't take over Equestria or cause some terrible catastrophe. So here he is, team up with Fluttershy and think of a way to reform other villain. With Discord's godly power, it should be easy to do the job. However, things doesn't turn out that well.

I prefer to think of her as a monster by necessity, driven by rage and jealously at a world that can't trust her species due to the whole shape shifting thing.

I've always thought Chrysalis had some room for redemption in her heart. If only she was a mother, then she'd know what it was to have compassion and to have someone love her unconditionally. Just the fact that she wouldn't even harm 2 fillies who came to call her 'mom', even though she was starving for love, shows that she isn't beyond hope. Lovely comic. ^_^

Well, you may have a point, but I don't really see her changeling army as her children as much as they are her subjects. If they did come from her, they probably weren't so much born as they were hatched from eggs she laid asexually.

Well, as we see in the next one there are those who are willing. Perhaps that'll tide things off until they find way. Like finding a way to extract love painlessly, or make it so they can absorb love just by being around it, or hell maybe find a way to turn love into a physical thing that can be eaten. I'm sure Pinkie Pie would have plenty of laughs being able to say she made her latest dish with love, literally.

Poor chrysalis, I am sure taking a bit love is not lethal, Shinning Armor withstand it for weeks and changeligs has been stealing love for a very long time and there was no any big negative effects.

My original concept doesn't involve the real mom. So this could be a space for anyone to fill with their imagination. Feel free to imagine your plot. If you ask my imagination, I think the mom would be put into sleep in Fluttershy's cottage. Since Discord is teamed up with Fluttershy, FS is likely to supervise Discord's doing. She doesn't have to perfectly understand the Discord's true intends, but she would at least try to keep Discord from hurting others.

Well, Discord was never evil. He was chaotic. That's who he is.
You could make the same argument for the Ruinous Powers, but Discord's brand of chaos is more on the line of harmless and only temporary in it's adverse affects. I mean, yes it might be hard at first, but I think you could live in Discord's world.
And here....HE IS EVIL! I mean, doing that Chrysalis...NO! SHE CAN BE A MOTHER AND NOT FEEL BAD ABOUT FEEDING! LET HER LIVE AND LOVE!

Doubt Chrysalis could be improved anyway, she just isn't the type. Discord, however, is.
And I wholeheartedly agree that he isn't "good" at all. I think that he's generally neutral, and only really good for his friend(s). He'd still keep on causing mischief that he wouldn't get severely admonished for, that he could get away with. Still, given his newfound weakness, Fluttershy would probably have complete control over him. The most manipulative mare in Equestria, her.
For instance, she'd probably force him to stop at some point. But not before Chrysalis has had it for long enough. And he'd be fre to still leave Chrysalis with compassion and a conscience.
