Olga watched with amusement as Walkiria turned the lights in the training room back on. The overhead fluorescent lights sprang back to life with a soft hum. As the room brightened, Olga climbed up onto the apron of the training ring and held the ropes apart for her wife. “It was nice of Lin to let us use her gym after normal hours. I will have to send her a thank you note.”

Maia grinned as she ducked under the top rope and climbed into the ring. “Well, she did say she wanted to wrestle the winner next time we came in.”

Olga stood up and stretched in preparation. “That is good. I will enjoy wresting her, she has some unique techniques.”

Maia raised an eyebrow at her wife’s confident statement. “No Olga. She said she wanted to wrestle the winner.”

Olga watched as Maia adjusted her skin-tight lycra shorts. The green fabric clung to her muscular buttocks like a second skin. Reluctantly tearing her eyes away from her wife’s bottom, the Russian super heroine pretended to be upset. “But Возлюбленная, if you were to wrestle her again, where would they find enough jello to hold the match?” She couldn’t resist laughing at the shocked expression on her wife’s face.

“I… I… I didn’t know it was a jello-wrestling match when I agreed to it. You know that, Olga!” Maia protested as she remembered the incident Olga was referring to.

“Yes, and that is why you order it for dessert so often?” she teased.

“What? I happen to like jello is all.”

Olga smiled and nodded knowingly. She could never figure out how a woman who no longer flesh and blood could still blush. But seeing the flush cross her lover’s face always made Olga’s heart swell with love. “Yes, I am sure that is all it is.”

Maia smiled to cover her embarrassment. She gave Olga a playful shove towards the center of the reinforced ring. Fantastic Lin’s Superhero Recreation Center had all sorts of specialized equipment built to withstand the rigors of metahuman use. Lin had given the pair of super-powered use of her facility after hours for a private workout session and some wrestling sparring.

Olga stretched her arms and rotated her arms in wide circles to loosen her muscles. Even though this was a friendly match, Maia would fight with her usual dogged determination and intensity. Even in a simple sparring match Olga knew she was in for a real workout. “So, the usual stakes Возлюбленная?” she asked as she flexed her muscles. The sound of sinews and muscles creaking was clearly audible as she prepared for combat.

Maia’s grin grew wider. “Sure, if you don’t mind paying up later I will be happy to oblige you.” As she spoke the violet glow behind her eyes grew brighter as her energy levels increased. Stepping forward she locked hands with Olga as they prepared to fight.
