Do you mind if I ask what the liquid is and what type of coloring? If you look on my gallery page, you will see my weak attempts. I have to re-shoot my glass pictures because my professor didn't like any of my initial shots. I'm re-shooting on Friday afternoon and on Monday afternoon.

The high key glass isn't bad.
I simply used clear water and water colored by watercolor for all my high speed shots. Nothing really fancy. The look though is created by the flash being very close to the glass and going through the water entirely.

So awesome. I love the shade of green, the way it seems to glow.
A potentially silly question, but what is the background here? What is the glass resting on?

small plates out of milk glass.
Flash was actually behind the plate in the background.
