Description

October Monthly Community Challenge: Superstition.
There’s plenty of room for superstition to fester among the wolves of Almos. Does your character believe in tall tales and sayings, or are they above lending an ear to some old wives’ tale?

Kviir
The smell is his favorite part about it. All that death and sweet decay, the quintessential components of a new beginning. Nature’s cycles have always fascinated the seasoned occuli and Vashti’s ability to disrupt it is no less fascinating. All the more reason to enlist her help in foraging herbs before the snows come.  [AC: 54 words]

Like the seasons, superstitions have ever been a point of interest for Kviir. Were it not for tall tales and the tantalizing concealments of truth, he would not be among the Kol. He would not be the god he is today. Just as there is power in blood, there is also power in words. [MCC: 54 words]

Vashti
Following Kviir gives Vashti something to do when she isn’t busy with the responsibilities of an indas. The role still doesn’t quite fit and she longs for a position of another sort. Until then, Kviir and his little chores provide a welcome respite from the social strains of her position. [AC: 50 words]

It’s less draining to talk to the occuli, too. Their easy familiarity allows her the space to speak freely and question the things she couldn’t before. Although she’s long believed in magic, superstitions have been regarded with little more than a quiet curiosity. They are as familiar as the pale wolf she follows, but she cannot earnestly say she believes them. [MCC: 61 words]
