I am somewhat amused by the whole Zalgo meme. Seeing a few CAD comics taken over by Zalgo, I decided to make one for QC. And who's better for that role than Hanners? I think it might be. I used to be really into the whole Zalgo thing, so I'd definitely love to see it come back for one of my favorite comics, lol. I'd recommend working on more interesting ways to Zalgo-ify things, though. Other example alter the art entirely to include tentacles, teeth, blood, etc. that look as though they were a part of the strip all along. Blurring and warping stuff is fine, but going the extra mile makes it that much better

yeah, I was kinda sloppy with this one. Tentacles are a must. Actually the only thing I am happy(ish) with in the entire thing are Hanner's eyes when she says "Zalgo". For example, black bleeding of Marten and Hannelore were made in PSP7, but due to a cheap contrast adjustment (to darken it), it looks like a shitty MSPaint job.

FFFFUUUUUUU- thank you for pointing it out. I swear, I go ballistic every single time someone else does it (than/then), and I know the difference, so how I managed to fuck it up? I noticed that, sometimes, I use "then" in place of "than", then correct myself immediately. Now why that happens, that's another question. Maybe the letters are so close together? Oh, and Zalgo is just a chaotic mass that consumes everything.

Right. But many of those who depict him/it also filter in references to the lovecraftian mythos, such as the revered formula "Ia Ia Cthulhu Fhtagn!". The Great Old Ones and their high priest Cthulhu are a seperate and independant pantheon based on fear, power, dark magic and madness. Between them, chaos comes quite naturally (particularly in one of the gods, the Crawling Chaos Nyarlarthotep) and they cope very well without an internet based runner-up such as Zalgo.
