Description
Here is a simple tutorial on making the owl - sock doll.I find it's easy to make even for a beginner.
I didn't go on details on the sewing part, eg: what kind of stitch, how to sew etc. Just use simple stitch to sew.
Anyway, if someone need to know more details on certain part, just give me a note.
If someone has used this tutorial and make out something, please let me know, I want to see the result.
Enjoy and try it out~
(My very first tutorial....
Latest News:-
Yes! I have made a site and will be putting all my sock doll tutorials there. So far I have only two tutorials... but will slowly make more and up put to the site. I am thinking to put more things on the site too, a gallery of my sock dolls, selling my sock dolls etc.
Feel free to take a look and leave me some suggestions or comments if possible. Many many thanks~

How do I sew the bottom to make it look like that?

Follow the step 9 stitch around the bottom edge, pull the thread tight and push the edges inside. Hold the thread and continue to sew a few cross (+) to further tighten it then tied a knot and cut off the thread.
Hope it help. ^_^

Do you have to use baby socks to make these cuties, or can you use an adult-size sock?

httpecho In reply to Pyro-Vampire [2010-12-18 14:35:48 +0000 UTC]
can use adult socks too, but the dolls will be much more bigger.... my dolls are about 6cm tall.
