I hope you like it. I tried to stay roughly with the colors of the example, but I altered some things. When I read "has braids down to her feet" I thought about how to organize such a hair for a queen. I've lived in Vienna for more than a year and of course I visited the Sisi museum. Since she had hair that long I did the hair inspired by her, though I added more braids more like in LOTR. The headpiece is from the reference given and influenced the color palette pretty much.

The dress and flower crown are inspired by a medieval scottish dress. I just didn't use white for the underdress to make it look more of a heavy, valuable fabric, fit for a queen. Also notice the small details. I thought leaves and stars would be great for an elf.

Also, I was inspired by medieval pictures, architecture and iconography that forms in that time. For the architecture I thought of gothic forms, mainly because like in LOTR, gothic seems a fitting style for elves. The buildings are high, slender and elegant. Also, it is very open and light. The walls seem thin, even if they are not. The main effect from the light would come from this.

Also, notice the things around her: Fruits for fertility, paired with lillies, a sign of verginity and dignity. Also a stone table, stone as a symbol for continuity, and finally a book shelf. Books are symbols of wisdom. For example there is a portrait of Madame de Pompadour with a collection of books, even such forbidden at the time.

I really liked working on it. It kinda pleased me as an art historian. Please tell me if you like such things
