Mount Maiji(麦积, wheat stack), located in the southeast of Gansu province, is a red sandstone solitary peak in the west of Qinling mountains. It is famous for the Maiji Shan grottoes on its cliff.Coordinates on Google Earth:

It was a collapse in Tang dynasty, which was caused by an earthquake. Since then, the whole grottoes have been divided into east and west.
