Description
Quick sketch of my favorite dinosaur, turned digital with Sketchbookx. Based off some skeletons with musculature inspired by the fabulous book "the unfeathered bird". Feathering based off of fossil impressions of Microraptor, Zhenyuanglong, and the arrangements of modern birds of prey. Lacrimal protrusions based off theories from the excellent paleoartist Mette Aumala. It's actually concept art for a future project, but just exactly what that is, I cannot tell you at the moment. Please comment!

I like this ones thinner snout, which looks like the weird skulls of these creatures.
Also, I was amazed with your digital skills before now I am in awe, the texture on the skin is awesome, I still like making traditional art I try out digital coloring every once and a while.

Thanks. I use Sketchbookx which has a really useful "zoom in" and "layers" program.
I used a better quality skull and a bird anatomy book to draw this.

My Main trouble is lines of any sort lol.
But I think I'll stick to physical drawings until I get good at coloring digitally, then they will be draw traditionally and then colored digitally
And I really like both, but this one's detail and thinner snout won over by shear epicosity

Wow, this one is like, a thousand times better than the first.
(Which wasn't really bad either)

I like your new profile, the other raptor looked more like a T. rex to me.

Thank you! The old one was based off a Brantworks cast, which had a much thicker snout. This one was based on actual fossils.

They're based off Corvids. Wonderful book though.

No, I already have Velociraptor on the species list.
Dinoworld is on hiatus for now, since it's in a good place. You all can still do art for it, though, that would be awesome!
This Raptor is for something else entirely.
