Description So this one is a little different, I decided to show off two versions of a splash page for issue 9. The first is my original idea. I still really like it. The 2nd one is the final that was used in the book. After discussions with the editor he felt it would be a better idea to use the black white and red color scheme to get across the feeling of the Mad Men parody in this scene. I can't argue with the logic. I like them both.

These pages were drawn by the amazing James Silvani: Here's his website: [link]

Yeah, I know THAT feeling.  One of my professors at my University was ALWAYS suggesting changes to my work.

”Everyone’s a Critic!”- Squidward.

But I still think you did a good job on both of these!

i think the first one is way better cause it draws the focus to the character and i can see what editor meant with the second but by drawing the focus to the background it confuses the page a little. GREAT WORK as always!!!!!!!

I don't understand this panel at all. Can someone explain to me what it is? None of my friends can.

This page is a homage to the tv series mad men. It opens with a figure falling surrounded by buildings with advertising illustrations on the windows. Here's the video: [link] Hope that helps explain things. This whole 3 page sequence was based on the mad men series, kind of a fun thing for the adults who read the series to pick up on.

I like both but, I agree that the first on e is better. It gives off the city's glow better.

I don't like Mad Men and I *loved* the spoof you guys did in issue #9. One of the few spoofs of the show that's made me giggle.
