Description
Here's a little something I did related to Sodor's very own Bulleid pacific; what if Rebecca had been painted in different liveries? The only ones I've excluded are Southern green and British Railways green as I feel like that color is too common on the Bulleid pacifics. If you've seen one, it feels as though you've seen them all. So that's why I decided to show seven (or eight) liveries for Rebecca that aren't green.

Alternate Yellow - This one's based upon a concept livery for Rebecca (then Miranda) prior to her final design being chosen. The design that had a big green stripe curving downwards was my personal favorite as it felt like the official livery but in reverse. In fact, I kind of prefer that to her official livery. The only change I made was by changing the shade of green and repainting the red stripe green to match. Plus, if you look closely, her nameplates have a dark green background.

Hogwarts Red - This livery and the next two were all inspired by Rebecca's sister engine 21C127 Taw Valley. The first one of these is when the engine in question was being considered to be used for the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, and was even used to promote The Goblet of Fire in 2000. (Fun fact: It was also the same event that overshadowed the premiere of Thomas and the Magic Railroad.) However, director Chris Columbus rejected Taw Valley as he felt she looked too modern, so the crew went for GWR No. 5972 Olton Hall instead, and the rest is film history.

Jubilee Purple - A more recent livery worn by Taw Valley; this livery was given to her to mark Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee. Rebecca's nameplates here are red, reflecting the nameplates Taw Valley wore prior to the Queen's death, in which the background color was changed to black.

Wartime Black - The last non-standard livery to be worn by Taw Valley; she is expected to wear this livery following her purple one until she is withdrawn for overhaul at the end of the 2023 season. Unlike the other livery designs, Rebecca has no nameplate.

Sudric Blue #1 - A TV-series inspired livery for Rebecca, wearing the same blue livery as Thomas, Edward and Gordon. The livery is based upon what the Bulleid pacifics originally wore during the Southern Railway's final years, but blue instead of green. The design of her nameplates is inspired from that of Donald and Douglas; red with gold border and text.

Sudric Blue #2 - A Railway Series-inspired livery for Rebecca. This time, she's painted with the colors of the Sodor flag - blue with white and orange lining. This one is inspired by the BR green that the Bulleid pacifics wore; there are models of them being painted in BR blue, and one of the rebuilt Bulleids - 35005 Canadian Pacific - was even painted blue in the late 1990s.

Stroudley Improved Green - This is a livery that I thought of not too long ago, as I thought it looked fairly similar to Rebecca's TV series livery, albeit with a more realistic touch, not dissimilar to that of Stepney in real life. I've given this one two variants - one with black wheels, and one with "green" wheels - so you can decide which you prefer. Both variants have red side rods.

As an aside, I'd imagine that, at one point, Rebecca was given a new valve gear akin to the rebuilt Bulleid pacifics instead of the chain-driven valve gear she was built with. That way, it would maximize efficiency and decrease downtime when it came to overhauls.

EDIT: (9/24/23) A new livery has been added to the sheet, with two variants of Stroudley Improved Green. Some spelling mistakes have also been corrected.
