Description Three years ago, David Mitton's death was announced, tearing the hearts of Thomas and Tugs fans in half. He wrote, produced and directed Thomas and created Tugs.

David Mitton is notable for Joe 90, Captain Scarlet and Thunderbirds, prior to the founding of Clearwater Features with Robert Cardona in 1983.

For Thomas, he directed seasons one to seven, and was model unit creative consultant for Magic Railroad. His last episode written by David was Edward the Really Useful Engine in season six. After season seven, Steve Asquith replaced him as director of the show.

He was to work on Adventures on Orsum Island, but it was canceled after David's death, with four episodes unaired. Maybe they will air at last someday.

R.I.P., David Mitton, you will never be forgotten. Thanks for everything to bring Thomas and Tugs to us.

The original series was the best but the new series was bad, then again the CGI series can sometimes be good. I heard that there will be a new writing style during half of season 16 and the rest during season 17 and the whole series
