People often talk about our thoughts as something we have no control over. As if, a thought pops into our head of its own will and we have no choice in the matter.The truth however is that we most certainly do have control over what we set our minds upon. We have control over what we meditate on. And if we take control over which of our thoughts we choose to ponder and which ones we choose to ignore, then we change our mind over time to have less of the so called "intrusive thoughts".
This effort can be accomplished through prayer, self-discipline, fasting, and most of all, humility. With God's help, all things are possible, including the cleansing of our minds.
