Note: At this time, I don't believe there is a way to add a preview image using Sta.sh Writer, if anyone has any information please let me know! ♥
I like being comprehensive.
Thanks to ~BarbecuedIguana for pointing out that if you use Sta.sh Writer to post a literature deviation it does not have the Download File button or any of the format buttons! ♥
I swear I haven't been sitting idly[at least all the time]!
August 4th, 2012: Sta.sh Writer has undergone a face lift and a few changes so this tutorial has as well!

Yeah, I did that. But when I clicked to 'submit to deviantart' it still only gave me the journal options.

You are going through sta.sh yes? Try opening a new sta.sh writer page and pasting whatever it is into that new sta.sh. Go to the submit to deviant art, then on that page it should say "Select Category" and click "journal portal" which will bring you to all the news options.

I'm not trying to submit it to journal though! I'm trying to get to the literature page. Well, I just submitted a blank one, which lead me to the literature page, and I just copied what I wanted into it.

Well in that same selection there should be the "Literature" option. [link] Like that. I'm glad you got to the literature page though. Sta.sh can still be a bit buggy.

To a literature deviation? Do you mean adding a preview image?

HugQueen In reply to Powa-App [2013-01-21 06:15:05 +0000 UTC]
I don't think you can have an image preview if you upload with sta.sh, if you want a preview image you'd have to submit it the other way.

Go here: [link]
Then fill in everything as you would, after you "add text" there should be a new option right below it to add a preview image.

I wanted to give people in my group (Including myself) the option of producing documents in Sta.sh Writer, without submitting it as a Journal post. Instead of having to make documents using "Microsoft Word".
I somehow managed to it once, but I don't remember how I did it.
Funny that...

I don't think a group's admins can access to something using sta.sh unless it have been previously posted. I know there is an option for that, but it has to be posted as a journal first. Though being able to collaborate like that would be great!

It turns out that images aren't allowed in the Literature category, which seems a bit silly, because some books have pictures too.
Fortunately though, the CEO was talking about this in his latest Journal post >> [link]

Thanks this was very helpful.
Premium Content only allows you to submit using Sta.sh.
Now if I can find the "more" tab somewhere in Sta.sh or on deviantart page to check "My Earnings."

Of course, it needs a bit of updating, but it's still pretty much the same.
[link] <-- That is your earning page.

Where are the links to Premium Content P?
Maybe they'll put them under shopping later.

I don't think there is an actual page for Premium Content Platform so much as it is just the program/thingy which you use to buy and sell content with. They do not have an overview of what you are selling using the Premium Content Platform, yet. I'm sure that will come soon because it'd make things easier.

Thanks. You're great.
Problem with earnings page I don't know how to get there
unless someone sends me a link. lol
Where is the tab that shows the earning page link to click?
Is it in sta.sh? On the front page? People talk about the left side green areaa???
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
HugQueen In reply to Lovespoon [2012-07-16 16:15:41 +0000 UTC]
No problem! ♥ It's simple. Up at the very top of the screen on the left hand side there should be dA's logo and "deviantART". Directly next to that is a little arrow that when you hover over it, shows the drop down menu. The link to the earnings page is near the bottom of that. I don't think you can get to it from sta.sh but on any other dA page you should be able to.

I have a quick question... because I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. You might know...
Is there a feature where you can have a preview image? Because with the novel that I'm working on, I prefer to have my preview image up so it catches my readers attention so that they know there's a new update. However, I cannot find a image preview option on sta.sh writer.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
HugQueen In reply to EmyBun [2012-06-23 16:24:21 +0000 UTC]
Right now you can't submit a preview picture when you first upload through sta.sh. Maybe you can go back and edit it in after you've submitted the deviation to deviantart? I haven't tried it personally, but it should have most of the same interface as if you submitted it without using sta.sh. [I haven't checked recently.]
If that doesn't work, I'd just forgo sta.sh until they input that feature.

Thank you! Yes, it's a great little tip, I tend to use it a lot [in things other than deviations, but] it works great for perspective changes!
