Not a bad looking Wolvie. You always do good with the muscles and this is no exception.
I'd say the only real issue is that he looks something like a mishmash of styles. With the level of detail on his face with all the stubble, it looks gritty, but from the neck down with the clean line work and soft shapes, he looks more cartoonish. In no way is the drawing bad, but it does look a little unbalanced. More hatching and detail on the body or less detail on the face would balance it out.

Thanks. I was experimenting here to see if I could render cleanly with the pen tool. I don't think it's very good, but there are so many Wolverine fans I posted it any way. It's all true what you said too, great critique. I love it when you confirm my own thoughts.

I hate Wolverine vs Hulk. It's a mismatch of epic proportions. I LIKE Wolverine vs Sabertooth and others on his level. I don't get how he's a hero with weapons only suited for killing or maiming, but I get his scrappyness, his never say die attitude and his straightforward outlook. I don't hate him at all, but I think everyone would(and should) get tired of the equivalent Thor vs Deadpool because it's pointless. Thanks Chad.

your welcome! I know what you mean, but people just want him to win no matter what. Remember the Marvel vs Dc where the fans got to vote. It was surprising to see them vote for Wolverine to defeat lobo, which goes against the abilities of the characters themselves.

Traditionally I usually HATE Wolverine. Only cause of Marvels over use of him as a character. I've always felt the origin was too contrived, but never mind what I think, this has great lines, good to see simple black and white sometimes.

I'm not his biggest fan either. I just wanted to know If I could do him any justice. There are a lot of great Wolverine pieces out there and I wanted to add to them. As it stands I think this needs more work. Thanks!
