Description
This is a portrait for my close friend Ryan.The inspiration is a contemporary interpretation of Angus Og, the Celtic God of Love, Beauty and Youth. He is accompanied by 4 birds that represent 4 kisses on the wind. It is thought that the XXXX or XOXO at the end of a love letter are these 4 birds.

You are one of my favorite artists on DA. You have the Imagination and Creative spirit that I admire so much in an artist. I wish I could comment on more of art, but alas, time is so short.
In each of your works is a story with layers of detail to studied. Each face is a study in of itself, telling part of the story. I also love your style of painting, with hints of the past but with a modern edge.

You have a very curious style; I quite like it 
This is a beautiful image, it is quite mysterious! I love the meaning behind the 4 birds, I never knew about the 'xoxo/xxxx' thing! I love the way that you have pulled the figure out from the background by giving him more weight, and using light... washes? ... in the background to create that far off, misty, look. Wonderful!

A bit gothic, yet very whimsical: the "dapper gentleman" carries an air of mystery about him because of his posture, facial expression and bow-tie.

Your style is so distinctive. I like it a lot. Although I think this one is very pretty, i don't think this is your best work. Maybe you can use a more expressive and 'daring' pose for your model, I think those pieces stand out in your oeuvre. Nonetheless this is a very slick and sophisticated piece, so it works here. I really shouldn't 'complain'...it's lovely. I'm happy 'you came back'.

This is very beautiful. I love your style as always, and the symbolism of the birds is a very, very nice touch to painting. Great use of colour too, and the composition is very nice.
