First of all, I love that quote. It's so true! I love how there's one big light and then a bunch of different colored lights out of focus in the background. This is such a great shot : ) Definately going in my favorites!

I'm finding the borders here more distracting than helpful. They do bring out the white/bright colors a bit, but not enough to warrant the border imo. Have you tried a simple black top-bottom only? Might not work, but it's a thought. Also, I'd also take out 50-60 pixels from the left side of the shot, trimming them off and thus sifting the bulb to the side slightly. Speaking of bulb, I'm not sure if that green tip is really working for it.
