Description This is for Hoshi-no-Kaabii-Fans , which is kinda hilarious that we all have like... the same beachy scene. I did this last year Summer Fun

I ran out of time to complete it 100%, but better it to be incomplete here and there than rushed in my opinion (mostly the water and clouds are missing lighting/detail). I've been working on it for weeks but I have been super busy with my friend's legal case and 3 friend and family birthdays ^^*

Program Used: 100% in Illustrator and then another program to crop it

Art is done by the Mysterious K (moi~)

Characters belong to Nintendo, Hal Lab, and Masahiro Sakurai

Thanks for the , I do appreciate them and read all the comments

Looks more finished than anything I've ever made haha! I love the water, especially the way it's coming off that fish. Weirdly enough, my favorite part of this picture is Dyna Blade up there. The shading on her wings is beautiful, and I kind of wish I could see her up close.

Tee hee thanks~ (what 'choo talkin' about, I like your shturf)

I can send you a pic up close, I tried to silhouette it by making is somewhat transparent and having a black background so the lighting make senseΒ

Even if it's not finished, I can really appreciate the work you put into this; your style is exceptionally charming and I'm really liking the thick lineart you used all over this piece. The colours, as well, are so bright, fun, and really contribute to this happy, charming scene here.
Also water guns are a perfect way to spend a lazy day. x)
Thanks for entering and good luck!

well it comes with practise , I'm rather hyperactive so drawing slowly is enerving me XD

After day 4 I get tired of working on it so I have a much of half-finished art ^^* it's terrible I know lol

How do you overcome being impatient with yourself? Got any secrets ?

wokring faster comes with practise , but also with the will to finish things over anything , I'm a perfectionnist and completionnist so I have hard times overcoming my impatience , 5 hours is too long for me to do one drawing for example XD I practised nearly everyday for 2 years so there's that , the best advice I can give is to give yourself a rythm and practise on it XP

I just feel like.... I've been drawing for a long time and so it shouldn't take so long. Like I am spending too long on a drawing more than I should. It would be a different story if it was photo-realism like my chicken picture I drew but the more cartoony stuff...? Maybe I just have unrealistic expectations haha this pic probably took 7 hours and it looks so basic :V

maybe digital art isn't made for you ? I struggled with it at first but now that I understand it better it goes way quicker , and is less painful for my hand XP
I am also conscious that not everyone has the same pace to draw or to improve , and I'm rather......very fast when it comes to improve , because I realize my mistakes everytime I finnish a piece and I don't do the same mistakes again when I move on to the next , sadly people on DA don't really dare to critique anymore , so you have to be your own critic

Well at the moment, I suppose I am trying to make vector do what is easier for raster is easier to do... thanks for your input! I suppose I should just accept my pace and stop being so frustrated with myself and it will get faster and more efficient as times goes on (hopefully ;_

Say, what type of ergonomic set up do you have for your desk to accommodate long hours at the computer? At like the 4th hour my shoulders start to get sore and I hate the thought of needing surgery in the future for putting in long hours ^^*

if that is the case for you , do not compare yourself to others anymore , excepted if It is for learning something new that will help you . I used to compare myself to artists WAY above my level , and it honestly never helped me , I just felt miserable and frustrated to not get the supplies or materials I wanted . I got an hard time accepting to work with the little I had , until I reached majority and could finally gift myself a gamer pc Β ( used , I rarely buy things brand new XD ) with better performances it allowed me to work faster at my quick pace , and use better programs ( in Β fact here , I use SAI now Β ) . I also got myself a good mouse because that's my tool for digital art , I don't have 1000€ for a cintiq nor the patience to use a screenless tablet XD
also about my pace , I made it faster because I made an important choice , wich was......doing absolutelly nothing at school and draw instead , It's been 2 years I do this and it greatly helped me , I still succeeded luckily at school , but I will have to work again seriously haha

welp , I think I have the least ergonomic set up ever , my desk is so small I need to take a plank/comic book with hard cover to draw on , I don't even have a desk chair either , I think It's years and years of having the same setup that made me used to it , also that this year I moved a lot and took the bus daily to go to university and in my spare hours I would just go where there's some place for me , I believed I got used with time to accommodate myself with what I have XP
