I really love this crossover BSG/Star Trek design; recall something similar from this orthography way back in 2006 by Jonathan Marquez seen here
. I am sure if you are familiar with the Star Trek vs BSG HD - YouTube but I could see the Federation rebuilding a new Battlestar Galactica to liberate the The Twelve Colonies of Man from the cylons.

I like this, a lot, and I prefer it to the smoother line version out there.
But one thing, doesn't it need more phaser strips for a 360 degree coverage?

Thanks. as with most Battlestars, it does have an aft vulnerabilty, the forward strip go all the way around the forward *saucer* area above and below. for broadsides, it has a massive amount of torpedoes, and like a carrier...it's fighters are it's greatest defense.

Do you have anything figured out for dimensions for this monster? Given the other ships in the picture... she has to be bigger than even the normal sizes for a Battlestar... Personally, just eyeballing it mind you, I would estimate this at something around 3000m+ if the ships are close to 250m.
While that is huge for Trek... one must consider that this is for all intents comparable more to a mobile starbase than a starship. Put in that context... 3000m+ is not that outragous.
This would be the perfect thing as a fleet C&C... issue one per fleet.
