Yeah, Unless Apple Bloom cuts her hoof off right after she was bitten, the zombie ''venom'' doesn't have time to travel... Like in resident evil.. There's this guy who gets bitten once.. then wham. Zombie.

But yeah, someone should definetly write a fanfic bout taht.
