I was a little shocked today to discover that the Jaws attraction at Universal Studios Florida was permanently closed on Jan. 2 of this year.

Jaws is my favorite movie, has been since I was little. To have lived the experience by riding the movie was understandingly a moving moment for me, and I'm glad I at least got the chance on two separate occasions when I was younger. Still, it makes my heart heavy to hear of all the original attractions being shut down just to make something more popular for the times. It won't be long before nothing at Universal Studios Florida remains which made it a great theme park.

"Ten minutes?! We'll be shark bait in ten minutes!"
