Artwork inspired by songs Absolution and Deus In Absentia by Ghost.In the work the current world is in fire and the demon of the world is recreating a new world which is free from all sins, called Absolution. This new world is symbolized in the form of Papa Emeritus III.
I really like their music and they are really fun to draw, which is why I made this work of them also.

You probably don’t take this too seriously, but just in case you’re interested....
I find this interesting philosophically because it shows just how wrong headed at root Protestantism has made everyone about what sin IS and isn’t.
This protest only makes sense from the low church position that sin is a crime, the Church a courthouse and Jesus the ultimate judge. Hence, this ghost is rebelling against what he sees an an unfair legal system that is too harsh, or something like that.
But in my POV, sin is a Disease, a mere condition, particularly Original sin, but sin in general. The Church is a hospital, and Christ is the only cure.
That would make this conceptually nonsense, because while you can theoretically destroy bad law with overwhelming lawlessness (if such power could somehow be taken), you cannot cure disease with more of that disease.

Seen them live in Belgrade in 2014. when they opened for Iron Maiden. Loved it! Such a great band!
