Interesting. Despite both units being years apart and completely different models, they have the same hi-adhesion trucks.

Yeah, if I recall correctly the AC60CW was the unit those trucks were first introduced on by GE.

I kind of figured that. They're some of the best hi-adhesion trucks that GE has produced, mainly for the fact that the AC6000CW was supposed to be a 6000 HP unit, but like every other concept before it, the maintenance was a nightmare, which explains why all of them have been downgraded to 4400 HP units (hence the new GE designations of AC44/60CWs). I think the engineers are starting to realize that there's a threshold of horsepower/size/maintenance ratios.

At least until new technology comes along. I figure in about a decade, maybe two, we'll see another big leap that will see 6000 become the norm. Looking back, that's about how long it usually is between these developments in rail diesel power. Of course, I could be wrong and everyone ends up going electric!

Might be interesting for my sister to paint.

Well, My sister is a painter, of Rail art. Yes, she does make a living at it. She goes to the Railroad shows. I showed her some of your stuff and a few others a month or so back. Her Husband used to work for Santa Fe out of the Emporia yards.
IF she decided to paint it, she'd probably give you a signed and numbered print of it, maybe #1.... probably #1. So, if you want, I'll show her this, and see if she wants to paint it. She may say no, but then again, she may say yes. I have to go work on her computer today or tomorrow, so I'll know fairly soon. Let me know what you want me to do.
