Do you know when this first went into service? Imagine all the types of power you could photograph with a time capsule?

I'm not exactly sure on this, but I can find out from the railroad museum. When you walk up on the grass there you can still see the concrete floor of the old roundhouse, and in aerial shots you can make out the original footprint of the stalls.

The history of the old roundhouses, turntables, bridges & stations makes the railroad exciting to me. Thanks for sharing.

And that one's a pre-merger unit too! Clean one at that. Nice!

It still makes me laugh whenever I see a warbonnet with an Omaha orange air conditioner.

The funny thing is, I see a lot of H1 and H2 painted GEs running around with Warbonnet air conditioners... They must just throw them all in a pile and pull one out randomly when they need one...

Nice to see that there's still Warbonnets in red instead of pink!
