These guys are a little weird to explain, but I will do my best.
These guys are what I call “The Muses”.
These things are hard to describe since they are not really lifeforms in any traditional sense. They technically aren’t alive, but they show a kind of intelligence and seem to be self-aware. They can interact with things, yet don’t really seem to have any mass. They appear three-dimensional and yet can go nearly two-dimensional, and they can behave like different substances while not actually transforming into them. They can change shapes, sizes, move in weird ways, almost appear like shadows, and emote. They don’t need to eat, but they do seem to ‘rest’. They’re not malicious, they are not parasitic or symbiotic, they’re just…there.
The reason why they are called the muses is because one of the things they seem to love to do is react to strong emotions or maybe even try and create strong emotions or reaction, yet there is no reason as to why that may be. They don’t “feed” off of that emotion, they don’t do it to hurt anyone, they just…do.
For some reason, they seem to like to hang around Tumahab, and since they are such an anomaly and not at all harmful, he lets them hang around as kind of a harmless guest.
These guys have kinda been in my mind for a while now, having kind of appeared randomly, mostly due to some music I was listening to that I associate with Tumahab. So I kinda wanted to try and give them a look, even though describing them is really kind of difficult.
