Description
Still working on some tweaks for Gene’s look, and this is one of the latest ideas I've had.
Still trying to edit his muzzle and nose a bit to give it a different shape or appearance and...if I’m honest, I dunno if I’m making any headway or not. I mean...honestly some of the sketches I do like, but I dunno if I’m making any headway.
I’ve been giving Gene a lot of thought and I think I’m going to make some changes are far as his hybrid nature goes: he is always going to be a hybrid creature, it’s just I think I need to change what his mixture is. In the beginning he was always meant to have dragon and hedgehog in him, but the hedgehog aspects were never shown through and I’ve said that they were meant to show more when he goes into his demon form, but I’ve never been able to get a design for that form. So, finally, I think I’m going to remove the hedgehog side of him completely. I know that I want to have dragon and maybe some wolf in him (snow dragon and winter wolf), but I feel that there should be something else as well. I had thought about maybe something like foo dog/guardian lion, but I’m not completely sold on he idea.

Hello:
I can clearly see all the differences you have put into the character's face, but I can still see he is Gene so that is a good sign, because I guess you still want people to recognize him (it helps that you are keeping details like his Megaman X's friend Zero-style super hair ).
Keep it up! I am sure you'll be able to get a definitive design for him .

Thank you very much, I am glad to hear that. I want him to still be recognizable, but I want his look to be unique as well, and it's really kind of difficult.
Thank you kindly!

Hello:
Don't worry and keep it up!.
But if it is difficult for you, an experienced artist, then imagine how it will be for me that I am just a beginner in all these 2d stuff .

No worries, 2D art is fun and it will take time and practice.
(Sorry for the late reply and for any lack of comments.)

Hello:
Well, I guess you have been busy. I am quite busy myself and getting much busier now with practice classes in school and some more stuff.
I am trying to practice some sketching every now and then, and even though I have a couple in my gallery, I still try to use the free time I still have for 3d models of starships for my projects (Robotech, Macross, BSG... mainly).
Keep it up!
