The finished product. Sarabi, Sarafina and Sobana enjoying a relaxing day in the grasses with their cubs.I'd like to say the background took me five minutes, but even this monstrosity took about half an hour.
Added the frame as for some reason it didn't look finished, perhaps because of the shape.

Um, I think this might just be me, but it looks like Kula is puffing her cheeks out, like she's trying to blow up a balloon. Come to think of it, that would explain why Sobana is giving that look with her one eye open as if to say something like, "Feels/Sounds/Looks like someone likes to play with their food."
It's a great piece of art. That little part of the scene just caught my attention all of the sudden. Was that what you were intending?

In my fan fiction she's the younger sister of Sarabi and Sarafina. Their mother is Nafuna.
Something that irks me a bit about the set up of canon characters is the litters of cubs are always rather small and therefore less realistic. I like creating new characters that help beef out existing canon character's backgrounds, and in part it helps increase the pride size and make the pride of The Pridelands more like a real lion pride. So Sobana is the mother of Kula and Chumvi.

Tojo isn't in the picture. The cubs are Simba, Nala, Kula and Chumvi. I'm 'suggesting' they're all cousins.
