You can try using other 'pens' or press harder to get it more dense. I once bought polychromos color pens (Faber-Castell), they are pretty good and colorful
But you don´t have to change it, I mean that´s your style and I love it the way it is :3

Oh yes, I know how to fix it, but I love light layers of pigment. XD
