MUST BE SEEN IN FULL VEIW--
"Are you dying, my daughter?" Ardina asked, "I think you have put all your life into you music. I wish I had asked you to play before; I have heard no such music since the days of Afinil. But even then, only the Elidhu could play with such wildness and such skill and sadness."
- The Riddle, By Alison Croggon

About
This is supposed to be an image depicting a scene from Alison Croggon book The Riddle; part of the marvellous Books of Pellinor. It's when Maerad thinks that her friend Cadvan has died, and feels utterly hopeless. It's a beautiful scene and probably my favourite; she takes out the reed pipes Ardina gave her and plays for those who she loved and then lost.
It's only a simple manipulation, although probably one of the sadder ones I've ever done. It's dark because it's one of Maerad's darkest moments; I couldn't imagine the grief that she would've felt.

Wow, I love this picture. You captured everything that Maerad must've felt in that moment; the anguish and un-dimmed grief. It's beautiful. I luvvv it.
