To improve on this piece, however, I think that you should not make the "fluffs" of hair in just different parts of the body and be consistent. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s… " width="15" height="15" alt="
Also, the tail can be improved on by being a little thinner. It's thicker than the legs which looks quite unrealistic.
Something else that I would like the bring up is the redness under the subject's eye. Why is that there and does it mean something?
Lastly, I know that this was intentional, but I'm not a huge fan of the way the image seems the disappear towards the bottom. I should definitely be able to see the bottom of the paws at least a bit translucent, don't you think?

for once I agree with you. the closest I have to a problem is how you ever seen cartoons or japanese anime where the mistic animal does indeed have a large tail? and people love those tv mistic animals! and this is a mistic animal. but it does not work with all.
