The Shelby Cobra is in my opinion the best looking British car ever built (I've always thought it was Amrican. Thanx for the corrections
). Although it has a timeless design, I've already seen some redesign attempts by design enthusiast and by the company itself, but only few of them really made a new design that features the best of the original and adds some more speciality to it's appearence with the modern touch. Shelby itself didn't make a good looking car that deserves carrying the name of the original Cobra. I really hope this attempt does.For all of you non-car-freaks who don't know what I'm talking about, here is the original Cobra: [link]

It's better than the original AC Cobra! It's the greatest car redesign attempt I have ever seen! I'm a big fan of Shelby and Ford and lots of other brands, and I can't upload my car designs because, well, I'm just 11 years old. Very nice!

The body was bought by Shelby from a British company called AC and that's the only part if the car that is British Shelby(American) put a large v8 in it and changed the running parts. So yes technically the body is British but the rest is American.

I adore the smooth texture which makes it look extra sleek and fast and accentuates the muscle of the car. The lightning-like light coming from the headlamps is badass too! I'm not a particular fan of the new Cobra concept (I remain a faithful old-school worshiper, and the curves of the old one are far superior to the new streamlined look) but it's undeniably hot and is recognizable as a Cobra without trying too hard to be retro, like the new Challenger.

The Shelby Cobra is an American car. Built, obviously by Shelby. The original was the AC Cobra built in Britain. The looks are pretty much identical but the Shelby packs a punch!!

The Cobra was never build by Shelby. Shelby just put a wacking great engine in an AC Cobra and called it the Shelby Cobra. American engine in a British car. An awesome combination.

While the one that we know of as the 289 Cobra was just an AC with a 260 or 289 Ford V8 slapped in it, the 427 Cobra was redesign in cooperation with Ford. So the 427 Cobra is an American AND British car design.

Yeah man, the Body was bought for Carroll Shelby's Cobra after it flopped in Britian. The ody was ahead of it's time, but damn do I want one. AC, Shely or this concept here, any will do

Agreeing with you the AC Cobra Shelby is the best looking British car ever built ^^ I like your redesign, it would look awesome slightly over scaled like they did with the Mustang. The Porsche Speedster inspired windshield is a concept I'd like to appreciate more precisely if you were to create another view angle. Congrats with the work!

Listen I am a cobra nut and I was sorry to see that they didnt do such a great job with the re-design (concept) a year back. I think they should have talked to you, i like the way you incorporated the bumpers and the huge grill intake, just as the cobra is supposed to look. It would be great to see other sketchs and views of this ride. Anyway keep it up and would love to see a few more Fords in your gallery (not so many germans, even though i do like the Mercedes), like maybe a high end GT 500 KR. again good stuff

Really nice work man, the car looks damn cool. But... The car is actually British in all respects bar the name and the engine.

I agree with you that the Cobra have an unbeatabble racy look.
And it was the fastest to. 0 to 60mph in 4.3 seconds !
In your new design, you have putted a modern look, without
breaking it's original lines.
