Description Dimensions: 6x10.5"-ish.
Media: black india ink and waterbrush/watercolor
Date: Dec 2006

Straight drawing with black drawing pens, colored with my handy waterbrush of the gods.

Charicatures and sketches of teachers and of fellow students (sometimes helps me pay attention to the discussions.) Last day of Intro to Arch studio last semester, we got a talk from a special guest speaker, depicted on the right. Yes, he is a metrosexual. Almost all of our architecture professors are metrosexuals. Even the women. Only one of our teachers looks like a pirate. But he's an artist, not a licensed architect.

This guest speaker was actually a grad student. Now, when I look at architecture students when they start out, they look normal. Grad school... uh-uh. All metros. The girls are uber sharp and focused. They're almost... asexual. This scares me. Will I turn into one of THEM??

The girl is another first year architecture student. I wanted to capture the strong colors I saw on her -- the red hair, the turqoise scarf and purple jacket. Very "Little Mermaid"-ish in terms of color scheme. I wasn't as satisfied with her colors as I was with the balance I managed in charicaturing our metrosexual guest speaker.
