Description
An Arabian horse I cobbled together from different sources. Drawn lightly in pencil and then colored with pastels in about three hours on some very nice paper that I no longer have anymore. The quality might be slightly poor because this is not actually a scan; it's a digital photo of the picture. However, I believe that the details have been captured adequately.Although, now that I look at it, I realize that I didn't draw in the characteristic concave face well enough to be noticed. It is still an Arabian, though, at least in my mind.

Yes. I didn't get my oil pastels until a little later. I like both of them but oil are really fun to use on the black art paper.

Well that really depends. I like oils for more impressionist-type stuff. But for pictures like this I prefer chalk.

Thank you (for the comment and the fave!). Horses are such beautiful animals to begin with, they are one of the my favorite subjects to draw.

Thanks. The red chestnut coat color is always nice on green backgrounds.

Thank you, this one took me awhile but I started and finished in all in one sitting.
