Description
An iconic piece used by the Austrian Hercules himself, the AMT Hardballer Longslide was the pistol of choice for the first T-800 from the 1984 film "The Terminator". This is a variation of the Colt M1911 pistol featuring a long barrel and a very primitive laserlock sight. The T-800 used the weapon to kill several women baring the name Sarah Connor and when it found it's target at Tech-Noir, it wielded this very weapon. The terminator however dropped it when Kyle Reese hit the cyborg with an Ithaca 37 shotgun. After that it wasn't seen again. It was also later seen in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles wielded by the T-888 in Season 2 Episode 5 and in a promotional poster, Cameron Phillips is seen wielding it.

Now this is an actual variation and by 1984, laser sightings were not only rare but required a high power level. The Hardballer's helium neon laser required 11,000 volts to turn it on and maintain brightness. There were wires that went from the guns laser and cleverly concealed beneath the sleeve of Arnold Schwarzenegger's M65 Field Jacket. These wires were hooked up to a battery. Despite this modification, the weapon fired the .45 ACP from a 7 round magazine
