Description
To start off, this is a Digital Colorization piece, all of the color you see in this piece has been painted over the original Black & White image.I wanted to do this concept for a while. I really enjoy the show Smallville, which is where the inspiration for this piece came from. Enjoy!

2 soft boxes on either side behind Lex approx 45˚ to him. On strip light soft box low to the ground angled at Clark. 2 gobos on either side of my camera to block out the lens flare created by the 2 soft boxes pointed towards the camera. That's it, that's all I used, 3 lights and 2 gobos.
Thanks for asking, I'm willing to share my lighting setups if people ask. And if they recreate them, if they could simply let people know where they got it from.

Wow just incredibly wow! To think that the color was redone from black and white just kind of blows my mind, that is amazing kind sir, and shows true talent. You really can't tell at all. I like the kyrptonite-ish (sp?) sword that he is holding and to me the way the suit blends into the background makes it seems like he kind of appeared out of the shadows of evil and will in an instant disappear back into them, as though you caught this at just the right moment of vulnerability. Dunno if that makes sense so I will just say I like it and give you peace from my babbling

I like how the color in the sword stands out, also there seems to be a right amount of blood, not too much not too little.
Although I don't like the black background, it makes hard to see where Lex's black suit ends and the background begins.
