He's so haggard-looking here... I it! Meaning by that, it's SO him, as if he's on a baffling case that he's been mulling over for the past seventy-two hours without sleep, food, or a shower. Ew on the latter.

Well why would such an unimportant thing like a shower keep him from solving crimes! There is so much more important things than being clean.

As it is in those days, water to individual residences was rare, thus it made bathing also rare. I would go nuts in that time period. I don't care how much work keeps me occupied, I hate being stinky!
