Description
Shortly after Master Oogway's death, Shifu sits beneath the peach tree, worrying about how he is going to keep his promise to Oogway: to train po as the Dragon Warrior...and to believe in him.This picture was a large pain in the you-know-where to paint! The sun was harder than it should have been, the mountains were tough to get, texture wise, and the lighting was tricky. But I finally got it to a satisfactory level.

I have an image stuck in my head of the ghosts of Master Oogway and Master Yoda sitting under the peach tree, contemplating the setting sun. Except for the character sitting under the tree, this painting is exactly how I saw it.

This is a really beautiful scene 
I love the wispy feel of the mountains and clouds and the faint river down below, so much detail O.O I for one can't paint backgrounds to save my life, but I'm getting there
I also like the symbolism in this scene, how the peach tree is stripped of its blossoms and fruit in Shifus masters absence and how he feels "lost" it adds up to the whole empty feel of the situation...
Once again, awesome work, this is going to my favs!

It was a really cool movie. (Thanks for the fave, BTW.) I can't take too much credit for the layout and/or the tree, though, that's taken right from the movie. I was pleased to have gotten both the look and the mood right, though...thanks for the great comment!

Thanks so much, for the comment and fave! Actually..y...the very basic rocks/mountains didn't take all too long, considering. With things in the distance like that you can get away with more basic strokes.
Yeah I did work with a Wacom tablet, I do with all my digital stuff. I love my Wacom tablet.
Yeah, he's pretty low at this point...and he's gotten past the jerk attitude so I feel more sympathetic towards him heh heh.

He was charming to me from pretty much the beginning...... Even just the first scene between him and Oogway, you can see he's not nearly as pulled together as you initially thought.

Well, i have no complaints about it. I had to have the cable fixed about a year and a half after I bought it, and I had to DL a driver from the website before it would work correctly on my Win98 computer, but its performance is great. Pretty sturdy too. I drop it a lot by accident...usually getting my leg or chair caught on the cord...thus the reason I had to replace it LOL
Oh he's definitely twitchy. I just don't like people who are cruel to others, no matter the reason. So it took me a while to warm up to Shifu. And even longer to like Tigress. (Though she was a *really* cute little cub LOL)

It's a graphite...3 I think? But I have a PC so the models may be different.
